AURA Privacy Policy

AURA ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal safety and utility application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

AURA does not collect, store, upload, or transmit any personal information. The app does not require an account, does not use advertising, and does not include analytics or tracking software. No data leaves your device.

2. Local Data Stored on Your Device

The only information you enter is stored locally on your device only:

• Emergency contact phone numbers you enter (for sending SOS messages)
• Optional SOS message notes you enter
• App settings (such as flash speed preference)

This data is saved using iOS local storage (UserDefaults) and never leaves your device. You can delete all of it at any time by deleting the app.

3. Permissions and Their Use

• Camera (flashlight): Used solely to control the device flash/torch for the flashlight, flash mode, and SOS alarm features. The app never records photos or video.
• Microphone: Used only for real-time noise level (decibel) detection in the Environment feature. No audio is recorded or saved.
• Motion sensors / Compass: Used locally to display the compass direction. Sensor data is processed on-device and is not stored or transmitted.

4. SOS Messages

When you use the "Send SOS Message" feature, the app opens your device's system SMS interface with the emergency numbers you entered and the message text you configured. Sending the message is performed by your device's standard messaging app. AURA itself does not intercept, store, or transmit your messages.

5. Children's Privacy

AURA is rated 4+ and contains no content or features directed at collecting information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date.
