Welcome to DashLoop ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the DashLoop mobile application (the "App"). By using DashLoop, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

DashLoop is designed to respect your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide the dash cam recording functionality.

1.1 Information You Provide

• Camera and Microphone Access: When you use the recording feature, we request access to your device's camera and microphone. This access is used solely to capture video and audio during recording sessions. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.
• Custom Watermark Text: If you are a Pro subscriber and choose to add a custom watermark, the text you enter is stored locally on your device only.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Motion Sensor Data: The App uses your device's accelerometer to detect potential collisions (crash detection). This sensor data is processed in real-time on your device and is not stored or transmitted to our servers.
• Device Information: We may collect anonymous, aggregated device information (such as device model, iOS version, and app version) solely for the purpose of improving app performance and compatibility. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Storage Information: The App checks available storage space on your device to manage loop recording. This information stays on your device.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your location data (GPS).
• We do not collect your contacts, photos, or personal files.
• We do not collect your payment information — all purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store.
• We do not upload your recorded videos to any server. All videos are stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the dash cam recording functionality.
• To enable crash detection and automatically lock relevant video clips.
• To manage loop recording and storage on your device.
• To improve app performance, stability, and compatibility across devices.
• To process Pro subscriptions (via Apple's App Store).

3. Video and Audio Recordings

All video and audio recordings made with DashLoop are stored locally on your device in the App's private storage. We do not upload, transmit, or access your recordings. You have full control over your videos:

• You can view, export to your photo library, share, or delete any recording at any time.
• Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked clips to manage storage space.
• Locked clips (including crash-detected clips) are preserved until you manually delete them.
• Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored recordings.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

DashLoop offers Pro subscriptions through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials. Your subscription status is managed through your App Store account.

5. Data Retention

• Recordings: Stored on your device until you delete them or until they are automatically overwritten by loop recording.
• App Settings: Your preferences (resolution, loop duration, watermark settings, etc.) are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
• Anonymous Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for app improvement purposes.

6. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously. Since DashLoop stores your recordings and settings locally on your device, your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (such as device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device updated with the latest iOS version and using a secure passcode.

7. Children's Privacy
